I want to emphasize that that the NY Governor Coumo not allowing NY locales to vaccinate groups *already prioritized* by the CDC like the elderly or frontline essential workers is not just terrible policy, but one that will cost lives.https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/08/nyregion/nyc-coronavirus-vaccine-delays.html …

Seems if they had a scheduling system and started at 82 or older instead of 65, next day 81, next day 80, etc... you wouldn’t have had the overcrowding ... when you get to bigger populations use month born instead of year born... plus creative increases of labor and facilities

There was an uproar about a provider who told anybody in the neighbourhood could come in for a vaccination because they had no other use for them.

Isn’t this image like a week old? Obviously bad then but the implication Cuomo is pushing this now seems off.

@GavinNewsom@CAgovernor @CHHSAgency@CAPublicHealth I’m afraid California is doing much of the same. -
Hearing anecdotal reports of vaccine doses being thrown out because they are expiring and “qualified” recipients have all been vaccinated at that location for the day. Clinics are scared to offer them to others even though the doses are expiring that day! Makes no sense
