I think ordinary people can follow clear messages: What we know, don’t, what’s likely to change, that there are things that will surprise us all, that multiple branches of science are approaching an issue and need to be integrated, and that science is about constant updates

We are all drowning in information yet starving for wisdom. I think this would have been a lot easier if CDC folks like Dr. Messonnier hadn't been imediately sidelined on the comms front. Scientists would be debating in and around the CDC rather than taking their case to public.
