This is a great idea - hundreds of thousands of low risk healthcare workers have already been vaccinated. Randomize us to second shot as per protocol versus delayed second shot versus no second shot - we’d have an answer very quickly. How hard would it be to set up a trial, with volunteers who weren't HCW's? I'm guessing you'd get tons of people if it meant a chance to get at least a single dose early. Even tens of thousands wouldn't meaningfully reduce supply for others, once supply ramps up.
