I do *not* claim that advocating for this publicly is the wrong way to go. I am asking is whether it might be the wrong way to go. There are reasons not to advocate for this publicly. It would be great to discuss those reasons, admit that they have some merit when they do...
This gets to the heart of something important, that the public sphere is not one where the gatekeepers control the gates anymore, and for better or worse, it's reality & we have to figure out how to deal with this effectively and in the public interest (something I believe in).
