      How easy for you to say or Michael Tracey to say. If you encountered what very accomplished women face all the time, you’d see why it’s good policy. A few obnoxious people doesn’t change that fact. (Tracey is still taken seriously is case in point).

          If there were one cultural reform I could make, it would be to normalize not using titles. No General, Senator, Congressman, President, etc. Those are designed to separate us from our leaders.

          In the human business, it’s called being condescending to refuse titles to people who earned them, especially when those very people are denied basic respect all the time.
