Appreciate the points on needing to direct attention to shared air, but saying surfaces aren’t a problem is inaccurate & misleading. For sure - pretty early on though we focused on high-touch surfaces (with a lot of examples, as sadly, this topic is pretty common) and even the FDA came out about not disinfecting groceries.

Another piece is that disinfection/cleaning is a very visual thing that everyone can do and often acts as a comfort tool for control in a situation that feels out of control. Also - just because we don’t see ppl changing their HVAC settings doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen lol.
