I've seen three versions of dismissing the alarm. "This is always the way it is" (not sure how this is comforting but it's not even all true); "It's not technically a coup" (true, but we're not contesting a grade here) and "he will lose." (The path we're on is the same...).

Except it’s *not* lockstep at the electoral level. My point was that elected state officials have acted responsibly. Your evidence comes from congressional Republicans.

The elected leaders of the party, yes, the ones that rule the nation. They face the most farcical attempt, and they can't move. And yes, most notable exceptions are at the local level who are begging their leadership to no avail. But also not all state officials.pic.twitter.com/xfuGSgBAHc
