A study from Korea showing why indoor dining is unsafe and why airborne transmission matters. Case B infected case A from 6.5m (~21 feet!) away in *just five minutes*, and case C from 4.8m (15 feet!). Footage shows no interaction—and only those in line of air flow got infected.pic.twitter.com/Yw3Gb8INWP

Are there similar studies for offices (I know it shouldn't take a study to prove this, but there you go) ?

Yes, this one. https://twitter.com/zeynep/status/1253710609692209153 … But wearing masks—the best you can find with a good fit—really helps. Avoid lunchroom/eating breaks when people take off masks.

Another crucial study showing how dangerous indoor situations can be. An alarming 94 (out of 216) people on the same floor in a call center in Korea got infected—an attack rate of 43.5%! But look at the schema. Most infections are on one side of the room. https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/26/8/20-1274_article … pic.twitter.com/JQsVnDGtA2

That's a good one. Any for jobs where people aren't talking on the phone all day ? (I assume the numbers will still be high just not as much). Anecdotally in London in offices people are not wearing masks.

That one is people talking all day, without masks.

Yeah, I guess I was being an internet pedant and asking about a non-phone work office. It doesn't matter as people will still be getting Covid, but I guess it will be fewer (not that I'm going to an office somewhere soon... but did eat out before seeing the 1st study)
