This is terrible analysis. It’s based on exit polls that haven’t been reweighted — they are meaningless — and it ignores Biden’s major strides in the suburbs where Lenz says Dems wasted effort. And how is the “wine moms” thing (not in the article) not reductive and sexist?https://twitter.com/PostOpinions/status/1332692621052039172 …

The Democratic Party should stop wasting so much time on the lost cause of suburban wine moms and start listening to the voices that form the core of the party’s base, writes @lyzl https://wapo.st/2J4KJPd

The math also doesn’t add up. If you think Trump gained *eight points* with white women while also gaining ground with black and Hispanic voters, how did he lose?

And then the usual warning about how black and Hispanic voters are Not A Monolith in the *same paragraph* as saying that suburban women (not even specifying white!) are a lost cause for the Democratic party. Again, look at the precinct returns: this is wrong, wrong, wrong.pic.twitter.com/qO1IMYxrxV

She also picked the one group—women/white suburbia—that swung away from Trump in key states and probably cost him the election in year where many groups swung towards Trump, and almost won him the election.

The problem is the number of people who believe this nonsense. (The incorrect 2016 figure of white women for Trump is stuck in many people's mind even though, once again, their 2016 swing away from Republicans almost cost him that election, too).

She does include that in the piece, fwiw. (The original 2016 exit and the later revision from the file).

What is the correct figure for white women? Is it 47% for Trump rather than the more commonly reported 53%?

Taxonomies such as men, women, white, black, Latin, gay, rural, urban are all ridiculous and tell us absolutely nothing. All it does is reinforce prejudices among a population that has not received basic education in critical thinking.https://www.blomsays.com/riff-raff-rising/ …
