So the "trespassing" that is most problematic in my view is when experts misrepresent (or even misunderstand) the relevance of their expertise for a particular question, rather than making arguments we expect to stand on their own. 2/2

Not saying there may not be other factors going on, but Europe has not had a coherent strategy that made sense, and the "look they are great" in the US is partly because Americans have a Europhile streak that is not always accompanied by understanding. (I lived in Europe).

I agree they are doing good things. But when I look at the numbers from their contact tracing it looks even if you deleted all out-of-household tracing from their response, their R0 would still be low.
