Ironically, quoting a medical expert who has claimed, baselessly and relentlessly, that mask wearing would induce a false sense of confidence in the public, and was very late to responding to other evidence as well, and has long been cited by the anti-mask crowd because of that.

Somehow, a good chunk of the medical/public health community refuses to stop making that claim, without evidence and with a lot of counter evidence. The irony is killing me here.
