As you can see from my tweet from the last debate, I'm a fan of the mute button—I suspect along with much of the country. But this is beyond that, Kristen Welker is the best moderator this cycle, and maybe including last time, too. She's showing how it should be, could be done.https://twitter.com/zeynep/status/1311128997171015681 …

Totally agree. She’s showing how it should be done. Chris Wallace should take notes.

I wish it was getting used, though. Zero uses so far on my feed (CNN).

Even still, Trump was allowed to lie , lie, and lie again, especially about Biden's supposed ties to Ukraine.

To be fair, the mute the mike feature has made a difference.

Ms. Welker hasn't been any worse than her predecessors, but, while Trump isn't speaking over Biden for the most part, he still keeps getting asking for 10 seconds to address things and then going on for 30 or 60 seconds.

Agreed: she’s the the best by far - learned well from the mistakes of her predecessors - using her voice, eye contact, & body language assertively but not aggressively to maintain control. It’s a master class in debate moderation.

Not hearing anyone address the President saying that parents who came with children were “low l.Q” and then when Kristen Welker said that children were still separated the President said “good.” And no one responded. And commentators aren’t talking about it either.
