The President of the United States called into a news show, enraged his own justice department isn’t indicting his electoral opponent despite, he says, his constantly urging them to do so. How have we become so used to this that there’s barely a reaction?https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/08/us/politics/trump-calls-to-indict-political-rivals.html …

If he loses, every legislator will claim they never supported him or they never looked the other way, etc. Everyone holding or running for office—or even commentator—should be asked this *now*: The president says he's pressuring his AG to indict his opponent. What should we do?

I don't think anyone running for office should be allowed to talk about anything else until they give a straightforward answer on this issue. People cannot be allowed to argue about the optimal tax rate till we get reminded what is happening and that he still holds nuclear codes.

US had a good 60 years run as a democracy. I'd say it's 50-50 it continues as one next year.
