I created an article about Baxter Leach in 2019. He was one of the Memphis sanitation workers who marched with MLK, Jr. in the last march before his death. Someone killed the whole article, replacing it with one line in the article on the strike. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Baxter_Leach&oldid=912909900 …

Meanwhile, there are racists sitting on the articles for Nathaniel Bedford Forrest to make sure you never say one critical thing about the leaders of the Confederacy.

When you have time, tweet about other female scientists with links to their work. I (and others) can't add to Wiki unless we are pointed to the good unappreciated work. A weekly: "Know your scientist" post. Female scientists are also under-represented in popular sci articles.

And it takes time to know enough about a scientist to be able to add. I think you, and Marr, for example, are absolutely super but would not have much to add to any article. And I think that female scientists are better in general because they often have a broader view.

agree particularly about entrenched and powerful editors and that it is seen as an influential resource; sure, add to entries but also question the system

Yes, this dude here can point out that the almost entirely white male editors of Wikipedia are horrible, specially in languages other than English, and
@Wikipedia needs to fix that as soon as possible.

not just scientists - I have been adding entries for women in a variety of fields for years and the push back is unbelievable
