Actually, @WHO’s IPC, workplace and school guidance documents all discuss ventilation considerations. These docs are available online at http://who.int . Ventilation is critical.https://twitter.com/zeynep/status/1305130861663260672 …

CDC? WHO? We still don’t have ventilation integrated into our guidelines. People are being told to wash their hands, but not open their windows. It’s September 2020. https://twitter.com/adamhamdy/status/1304120806943928329 …

Actually, here's WHO's advice to the public page. It starts with washing hands. Not a single word on opening windows, ventilation, indoors. *Not* *one* *word*. The biggest section on this page is on safe use of hand-sanitizers. Please update all these! https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public …

Here's the WHO workplace guidance. It starts with, has many paragraphs on hand-washing. There is a single sentence on ventilation that I can find, and it's vague. https://www.who.int/docs/default-source/coronaviruse/advice-for-workplace-clean-19-03-2020.pdf …

WHO school guidelines. Again, a single sentence on ventilation, and it's vague. Almost a page on hand-washing and it's not vague at all. The world needs guidelines since, as you say, ventilation is critical. People are desperate for answers! Thank you!https://www.who.int/publications/i/item/considerations-for-school-related-public-health-measures-in-the-context-of-covid-19%20%EF%BB%BF …

The section “how to protect yourself and others” on the WHO page still has nothing on masks. What’s up with the obsession with hand washing? 🤔

Spain’s press and officials are doing the same. They only add ventilation to protocols but nothing more. No comprehensive explanation about aerosoles and super spreading events happening indoors, with improper ventilation and its efficiency control

I am soooo sick of the 800 lb gorilla fallacy of hand hygiene in infection prevention. It literally sucks all the oxygen out of the room. Real interventions that can save millions like masking, ventilation, and disinfection of air & surfaces gets pushed aside. 😡 😷
