He doesn't know about it, wouldn't care if he did, and would likely just roll his eyes, and say "well, actually..." and remind me when I tried to sail or windsurf, I couldn't tell which way the wind was blowing and that I can't do even a tiny jump when we're biking on trails...

Update: I showed him the article in the paper, specifically the paragraph where he’s mentioned. He said, and I quote: “Who actually reads the newspaper now?”

He then said. “I also thought you has something good to show me.” Not impressed so far!

So, I showed him your tweet now and he said wait how does he know about me? I repeated, it was in an article in the newspaper! The New York Times! Somehow that fact doesn’t connect to disseminating knowledge. “I never met a weird human who reads newspapers,” he’s insisting.

Update. I got scolded by this small human for stepping out of the car without having put on my mask first. “It’s North Carolina law to wear a mask in public places,” I was sternly reminded. I think the article didn’t do much for my polling with preteens. I need a TikTok hit.
