As I told @benyt, I feel charmed that I get to do this: do my best to call things as I see it regardless of considerations of popularity. It's a privilege and an honor. Much gratitude to so many who supported me for so long.

Yeah - I asked Zeynep if she felt strongly. The rule I learned 20 years ago is that you reserve it for medical doctors, though I don't have terribky strong feelings. Some languages have different words, which would be nice here.

NYT articles usually use "Dr." for PhD holders when it's relevant to the context of the story, which it seems to be here. Women are less likely to be addressed with their proper titles ... And as a woman earning a PhD in Robotics, I was unhappy to see
@zeynep referred to as "Ms."
