Agree – hopefully vaccines will be (very) useful additional tool, but need to plan for likelihood that they'll end up somewhere between those extremes.

Yes sensationalism on both sides - anti-vxers and proponents. That said, signs of reactive T-cells being produced is a good thing. Not just about antibodies. I'd also argue that safety is the key . Getting efficacy a bit wrong (i.e 70% vs 95%) not that bad with so many in pipe
