Point is somewhat clarified in the story with the quote by
@cmyeaton but still would good to also point out that even when symptomatic, which they rarely are, younger kids are likely transmitting less. Misleading headline is going to freak out parents who don't need more anxiety! -
I'm really sympathetic re the parents freaking out. I'm also honestly not sure how much minimally symptomatic kids transmit - especially when most studies define index cases on the basis of symptoms.
