How is using your first and middle name a "pen name"
-
-
Nobody has to like the guy; but we should absolutely be firm that the NYT should not casually shoot a pen name = real name linkage to the first Google search for the rest of someone's life. You cannot dislodge the NYT from Google results.
-
I found his name in under 2 minutes via Google, it’s easily Googleable already. You’re accommodating his demand that we pretend it’s not public unless NYT publishes it. I don’t see why.

Miniskirts/sexual assault are not *just* about bad opsec, it's specifically about women and how our society sees women who dress a certain way. It has a context of privilege in our society. You can't use that same analogy for a man in a position of power.
-
The *argument* has the same logical structure. I'm obviously not saying miniskirt is bad opsec.
I genuinely don't think we will agree and it's distressing how many people seem to not be able to separate their dislike of the guy from the principle which is terribly important. - Show replies
