So every international Harvard student must leave the country? It’s hard to believe both the pointlessness and unnecessary harm to this ruling. All US universities greatly benefit from international students who often pay high tuition and effectively subsidize American students.

Mandatory office hours as part of a class. Once a semester ought to do it. Because the cruelty is the point and this nonsense needs to be thwarted. In the meantime, have an outdoor coffee with a student and they will remember the mentoring forever.

Why? Because it’s just another piece of Miller’s “I hate foreigners” policy, with a side-dish of “I hate universities and experts” from much of the current White House (and these days, accent on “white”).
