Good morning in sad, jealous tweets. All schools in Taiwan have been open since February. They did not listen to China or WHO in January and immediately masked up and shut down travel. They also traced the hell out of their outbreaks. They were practically done by February.

When did China tell people not to mask up? All of Asia handled it well. Taiwan went into draconian blanket travel bans immediately hence why they slightly ahead. Just own up to America being trash instead of acting like they were victims of evil China lies or something lol

China told us no human-to-human transmission (but masked up themselves) and that travel bans were wrong (and WHO concurred) and WHO told us masks were useless and even harmful. I blame the US to no end. China did very well only for itself once it got its own act together.

Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, all handled it almost as well as Taiwan and they didn't resort to draconian right wing travel bans until Europeans started causing second waves in April. To praise Taiwan for being overly xenophobic is wild. They handled virus like 3% better than HK

There are multiple countries that did really well, including Hong Kong almost in spite of the government at first (people plus the really impressive public health folks/infrastructure from SARS).
