It was not one of our finest hours and a complete travesty. At a minimum they should have given UK passports to all the residents, and they should have let the people vote for different options. Instead it was a classic, 'lets push the hard stuff onto someone else".

The UK had leased Hong Kong from China for 99 years. The lease was up. They had no choice. It wasn’t “theirs” anymore and was never really “theirs” to begin with
