Yes, to some degree, of course but it's not a sterilizing procedure. All things equal, a virus will have a harder time surviving in the sunlight compared to indoors. You can't use sunlight to fully sterilize but it reduces risk.

Probably depends on latitude, too. MA sunlight feels kinda wimpy compared to FL sunlight (and GB overlaps Canadian latitudes).
