When we conflate the highest risk and the lowest risk activities, we're telling people it doesn't matter what they do. (I also don't like framing it as individual failure like this... It's five months after they shut down Wuhan. What are people supposed to do? But I digress).

Fair point. That photo is simply the one that pops up with the link, fwiw. There are others in the link that some (though not me) might find a bit more gray area, like the scene on Berry Street.

Headline and photo are what constitute most of the impact of an article these days. I know reporters don't control either but many a good, nuanced important piece that a reporter worked hard on has been ruined by the choice of photo and headline.
