Why on earth would that outlet censor itself on what questions to ask? Silicon Valley doesn’t care that much about traditional media anymore. Wasn’t your whole point that interesting and important conversations could be had outside the techlash framework?

The reason the interview starts there is exactly why you wish it hadn’t: we’re not getting “day in the life” or “how to” coverage from media, who are uninterested. But a lot of people are actually really interested in that and find it helpful.

I’m all for critical coverage of weighty issues, accountability journalism done right, etc. But that doesn’t mean it has to be the ONLY thing we read.
