No contact tracing, so not only can we not contain the spread, we also don't get data on where we're vulnerable. We only get scary stories (Packed beach! Lake Party! Hair Stylist positive!) and little to no follow-up. We mostly notice giant, concentrated clusters (meatpacking).

No second wave because we will still be in our *first wave* when Fall happens, whatever its shape. Home of the most extensive, individualized surveillance infrastructure in history built for ads/profit will not have a fast-enough public health focused contact-tracing at scale.
