My (2016) book does explore leaderless, networked protests. They are not merely decentralized versions of older ones. Some things that look the same (a march) as the past really aren't. And even what it means for protests to "work" isn't the same.https://twitter.com/rasmus_kleis/status/1272165570562195457 …

I’ve cited this book at least once a day in my personal discussions for the last two weeks. Important read to understand the context of where movements are today!

I'm glad to hear it's been useful to you!

İstanbul’dan selam. Twitter’ın son troll operasyonu hakkında bir makale yazacak mısınız? Açıkçası çok net olmayan taraflar var bu konuda?

I apologize, I haven't read your book so I just ordered it. Having watched Occupy Wall Street captivate public attention and then fizzle (watching super-consensus required for decisions was painful to watch play out)...

I became convinced decentralization might work as a tactic for getting a protest to come together, but without some sort of leadership actually implementing ideas would be very hard, and would be subject to "hijacking" -- either by power parasites, or malicious outsiders.
