I also feel like I should go drink some bleach to cleanse from having to point this out.

I watched a good chunk of before. That particular quote wasn't about economic numbers, though the press conference was. There is no shortage of other actual material from the man! Look at the full transcript of the statement.pic.twitter.com/dmpg7fpiPT

He spoke about the job numbers immediately after this. The comments were adjacent, so while saying his mention of Floyd was directly connected to his job numbers boasting is a reach, it's not a very far reach.

Comments are clearly meant in the context of "we can't let this happen" re:Floyd. It was a job numbers presser and he made statement about the pressing issue of the day. I'm now going to go drink some bleach and UV light my lung because I cannot believe I have to do this defense.

He explicitly says the job numbers are the best way to improve race relations. He was talking about the job numbers when he referenced Floyd. https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1268924773956038656?s=21 …https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1268924773956038656 …

Floyd smiling comments were clearly in reference to "we cannot let this happen" re:Floyd. Later, he said jobs best thing for race relations. I'm quoting about the "good day for Floyd" context. But also gotta go drink bleach now.https://twitter.com/zeynep/status/1269339248664117248 …

What he actually said was already slimy and outrageous, especially given his own "protectors" conduct this week, without trying to redirect the association to jobs instead of "equality". I'd expect GF would be horrified at the scale of brutality that's been laid bare this week.

I totally agree that if people don’t want to take him to task for what he says, material is sadly abundant. That said, at this point I think actions speak so loud
