for what it's worth, and I don't know anything of the underlying studies, your original tweet said no evidence of harm. That is stronger than what you now say in this tweet: "no particular evidence of harm enough to stop the trial"

Only RCTs can give us unbiased estimate of potential benefits to weigh against these known harms. Observational studies strongly biased towards finding negative effect even after adjustment. RCTs monitored globally for adverse effects and none have been halted early afaik.
