Probably most parents will want to (or have to!) go back to work & put the kids back to school. But not all of them. And for those who don’t, if you can do your pre-pandemic 8 hr workday in 4 hrs from home, and pool resources, the “second job” argument should look very different.

Most families are overextended with lifestyles inflated with debt. Maybe they realize by removing a lot of the non-essentials the luxury for one parent to stay at home is possible. I saw one thread where people are realizing how much $ they waste.
