I’m looking at this picture and all I see is people with way more than six feet between them in a sunny and well-ventilated area. I wish they had masks on, but what’s else is the problem? Given how large beaches are, is there a safer way to go outdoors? I don’t get beach outrage. https://twitter.com/travisakers/status/1251260796476305409 …

One of the problems is that FL governance is wildly irresponsible and has done everything they could to downplay the epidemic. That combined with huge crowds doesn't mix well. Guarantee there's a lot of folks who aren't going to pay attention to that 6'.

in general I agree with your views that public spaces should be open and available. But that needs to be paired with responsible messaging at all levels. This isn't the case in FL.

Where are you more likely to accidentally come into contact with someone? A beach filled with beach goers, or your home? It’s an odds game. There doesn’t have to be certainty of transmission for this to be a terrible idea.
