I’m looking at this picture and all I see is people with way more than six feet between them in a sunny and well-ventilated area. I wish they had masks on, but what’s else is the problem? Multiple research has shown droplets transmitted up to 16 feet. Other, less reliable research, up to 28 feet. With something as contagious as this -- R5.7 according to CDC -- you have to err on the side of caution.

Those aerosol spread distances are indoor numbers. Indoors - there is no safe distance. Outdoors - air current is way different, and mid day sun kills the virus in about 3 minutes. This country needs to close grocery and retail, open (with guidelines) outdoor spaces.
