I’m looking at this picture and all I see is people with way more than six feet between them in a sunny and well-ventilated area. I wish they had masks on, but what’s else is the problem? Given how large beaches are, is there a safer way to go outdoors? I don’t get beach outrage. https://twitter.com/travisakers/status/1251260796476305409 …

I get the feeling but that’s not science. That’s anxiety. Also I get that people are mad at other misguided policies in Florida. Fine. But I’ve yet to see an actual beach picture that warrants a concern at all proportional to the beach outrage.https://twitter.com/riskybusiness/status/1251710752664125446 …

Because they aren't distancing. Also, tourists are coming in from elsewhere to go there. So that means they're going to spread disease, the same as Spring Break. If it was locals AND enforced social distancing of at least 30 ft, that would be different.

Experts are saying 6 feet indoors and you want 30 feet outdoors? If those were the numbers, this would be measles and we’d have millions dead already. That’s not science.

Is be concerned about the bridges, where it's impossible to pass 6ft apart unless they have a one way at a time system in place
-
That’s not going to hold up at open and close hours.

yes, that makes sense to me. A beach is a park, a place people can exercise and get fresh air, sunshine, and nature while social distancing.

Because it won't stay this way. If you can't see where this heads and how it ends, then you probably just don't want to.

My off-the-cuff guess is outrage at “How dare people go somewhere for the simple joy of enjoying themselves when they should be in the salt mines sacrificing themselves for the economy?!” Perhaps a very American attitude.
