Doesn't this type of study also call into question the need to worry about transmission by touching surfaces?

I mean we will wait for the studies, but I think whether kids transmit a lot (Taiwan, schools open, not much happening) and whether fomites are a key vector (need studies!) are big *open* questions. I'm with the precautionary principle in general but really need studies here.

"They" keep saying that getting the kids back to school is the key to getting the parents back to work. If I'm a 50+ year old teacher with underlying health issues, there's no way I'm going into a classroom full of germy kids. Has anyone taken a look at that?

Anyone doing a challenge trial for vaccines (where the volunteers are deliberately infected) should try to expand the sample size, and then do a second randomization into method of infection. Voila, you can test both vaccine efficacy + danger of different infection pathways
