yeah there is no way we contain this

Ok, thanks for the positivity! :)

It is irresponsible to make statements like "there is no way we can contain this." Ther's so much we don't know, but we have to assume some of it will prove to be positive. To imply there is no hope is damaging to people's mental health--as dangerous as the virus itself.

Every other day I say “thank jeebus this isn’t measles”

Not hopeful imo for back to normal folks. We already knew it didn't spread like the measles. But this study implies restaurants are even less "safe" than most people think. Cant wear masks. Temperature screening ineffective. 1 asymptotic person infected 10 out of 93.

If someone 2 months ago had claimed this virus could spread like this, they would have been laughed out of the room.

Given the air flow patterns, we would not expect anyone else in the restaurant to get infected.

We can't contain it because people are dumb as sticks and refuse to cooperate. It has nothing to do with technical feasibility of containment.

That is an R0 of ten, for one visit to a restaurant. We will have to keep the shutdown going until we find a cure or just accept that countless people will die.
