This isn't controversial. Sunlight kills viruses. They thrive in unventilated, dark indoors places. Sun/outdoors also increases immunity, and people are less likely to get sick if they are healthier. It isn't some novel statement, this is ... very basic.

Sunshine will not sterilize like UV-C, of course not. But compared to indoors, yeah, they don't thrive as much in sunshine. Plus there's ventilation outdoors.
