Generalising - some Asian countries who were used to these types of virus were on the ball and acted fast - aided by an altruistic population who practice wearing masks to prevent them infecting others-(even for just a cold). Japan has a death rate of 0.5/1m pop. Italy 200/1m !!

You can isolate it for Japan. They don't really socially distance, there is no mass testing, there is dense public transportation, there is no tracing. But they wear masks! 60-80 percent depending on estimate. They have upticks, but they aren't Lombardy or NYC.

Agree! But we have a preponderance of evidence and a very intriguing case. Butterfly flaps are not as applicable to structural dynamics, and mask wearing looks more like the latter.

Both true and not. Singular causes, no, but there's a difference between sensitivity to initial input/contingency and structural dynamics.
