Also, Twitter friends: I'm genuinely not seeing all my mentions. (I turn the algorithm off but probably too many to see). If I don't reply to your message, even though we're friends, it's probably because I didn't see it.
I do try to keep up but can't. Other channels better.

This is exactly why I am diligently reporting the spam as spam. I used to delete. Now I report, even though I'm not sure it helps. If we all do, it will make the signal stronger.https://twitter.com/HelenBranswell/status/1242164843723010049 …

Also, I now blocking people who come at the end of a thread and ask/say something that's clearly covered in the thread or linked article. This is a change for me. I used to mute or ignore but I realized that those people make it hard for others because people read reply threads.

I don't mind people objecting at all. But seems there is a 5/95% problem. A few people are contrarians without value, and they contribute disproportionately to noise. I normally like to keep contrarian views in sight—good to check oneself—but it's cluttering things for others.

I think others have said this also but curious if there are things the junk emails have in common or any kind of patterns you might see between them. That’s really annoying to need to sift through this signal to noise.
