Completely disagree. There is so much misinformation from top authorities. Mark my word, this is Iraq War redux. Authorities we normally trust are spreading a lot of misinformation. (Masks are the biggest but not only example).

I would like to see evidence about the backstory, too! But, and this may be our disagreement, I believe that the misinformation is right before our eyes. I feel like I did in run up to the Iraq War. I read the papers and I was like, are you kidding me? It was all clearly untrue.

The WHO with regards to masks seemed to be prioritizing supplies for medical professionals and high risk individuals to reduce immediate mortality but severely underestimated community spread via mild and asymptomatic cases without masks.
