Completely disagree. There is so much misinformation from top authorities. Mark my word, this is Iraq War redux. Authorities we normally trust are spreading a lot of misinformation. (Masks are the biggest but not only example).

One on masks is also straight up dis/misinfo. Here, too, a journalist will eventually find the receipts, if it was a noble lie or racism (not believing Hong Kong/Taiwan had the smarts) or WHO didn't want to upset China's own run on masks? We will learn. Many will die, though.

If you started following this in January, it's been distressing watching the public health folks exactly and literally follow the climate script, but sped up. I think this aspect is a culture of science issue worthy of deep exploration, and also apologies directed to Feigl-Ding.
