😱OMG....the Trump Administration not only downplayed the seriousness of the #CoronavirusPandemic (despite warnings since January), they gave #China *nearly 18 tons* of key medical supplies—including VENTILATORS. @SecPompeo POSTED VIDEO.🤬 h/t @File411pic.twitter.com/aJdUU5O8vr

You would rather people in China die of lack of ventilators at the peak of their epidemic? That's heartless. Ventilators should go to wherever the epidemic is peaking. If China is not sharing them back now, that is indeed a complaint—not if we did the right thing then.

Context is critical. I support helping other nations. However, the Trump Administration repeatedly misled the American people, did NOT prepare for the oncoming #pandemic, and now, has left us woefully short of critical supplies.

No issues of making that decision at the time but the big question is what did the US get in return or should it be rephrased what did he get in return

Sending them was the right thing to do. It would actually count *toward* being prepared. Helping whichever country is at the heart of a potential pandemic (like with Ebola or H1N1) is the correct preparatory move to protect one' own country.

Exactly, so it spreads less. Going to the source was the right move. Not preparing ourselves, a very wrong one.
