Many of us in CA have leftover N-95 masks from the wildfires of the past few years. I have a couple and all in open boxes. I have been using one to go to grocery store weekly and spray it with rubbing alcohol after.

Please consider donating those to hospitals, or even exchanging them for surgical masks! Or even using homemade ones. N95s are important for aerosolizing procedures like intubation. Our medical workers are being decimated, but surgical masks are good enough for you for now!

I am giving all but the one I use for shopping to a nurse friend for her to use. I only have a few and as of the last time I checked they didn't want open boxes but I am guessing that will change. I'm in the Bay Area.

Yeah, at this point, it's intubating without one or accepting an open box in many places.
