no, the context for hand-washing is something we are supposed to do every day, correctly. the context for wearing a mask is unfamiliar
You know what, in the middle of a pandemic that has upended life, I'm gonna go with we can teach people how to wash hands correctly or tell them the truth about what masks can do. If you are unable personally to follow simplest instructions, not sure what I can suggest.
