Ridiculous. Gloves don't remove need for hand-hygiene but I've been wearing disposable gloves since February because my skin is irritated from the sanitizer and hand-washing. I even hand-sanitize over the gloves! Teach best practices and let them wear surgical masks and gloves. https://twitter.com/robaeprice/status/1240661482242592768 …

One of the worst mistakes that CDC and WHO made has been to stigmatize mask wearing instead of telling nations to quickly seize N95 supply for health-care workers, distribute extras in sensible numbers, ramp up production everywhere, distribute surgical masks and let us mask up.

I'd actively prefer shops that provided paid sick leave *and* encouraged surgical masks. Companies, the "image" problem in my head is the grieving masses in Wuhan, the funerals without attendees in Italy, the exhausted healthcare workers everywhere. Not your workers in masks!

Better! Policy with training since gloves are like hands: still gotta keep hygiene. I've been wearing disposables in high-contact environments (teaching/shopping) since February. It keeps me aware, less face-touching, protect hands—but I sanitize gloves.https://twitter.com/alon_levy/status/1240720520393494533 …
