Yes. Some of China's real journalists have risked everything and carried out investigations. Healthcare workers have been heroic from day one—some paying for it their lives. Conflating China's people with their government is the real racism. https://twitter.com/COVID2021/status/1240304406383509510 …

Thanks for asking! There is no shortage of proof that Chinese authorities suppressed human-to-human transmission news until too late. Pic of official CCP publication about the doctors being arrested for telling the truth. See a few articles (Can't fit all). First from China's brave real journalists. https://www.caixinglobal.com/2020-02-03/in-depth-how-wuhan-lost-the-fight-to-contain-the-coronavirus-101510749.html …. I STRONGLY object to calling the coronavirus "Wuhan virus" because what we should remember of Wuhan is the brave whistleblowers who tried to warn us, some of whom died. The Wuhan health care workers who put everything on the line and some died. The people who suffered so much.

We *should* hold our own government accountable without erasing the whistleblowers, real journalists and the people of China—because that's what erasing their regime's complicity does. If Chinese gov't had acted early, we might have avoided the pandemic.https://twitter.com/ratscoat/status/1240651702937751552 …

Financial Times on how Taiwan warned WHO about human-to-human transmission by December. WHO parroted China's cover-up lie (no human-to-human transmission!) until China stopped covering up—too late to stop a pandemic. THIS COULD ALL HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. https://www.ft.com/content/2a70a02a-644a-11ea-a6cd-df28cc3c6a68 …pic.twitter.com/0RH2MNtBxT

I'm sorry that the complex, terrible reality doesn't fit existing polarizations and good/bad schemas, but sooner we come to terms with the world as it is, the sooner—maybe, just maybe—we can think about the task of creating a institutions and a world order that can actually work.
