Wuhan authorities held a 40,000+ person potluck right before before human-to-human transmission was finally admitted by the government, and the whole city shut down. What’s our excuse? Nothing. This is a seeding event. These people are at risk. They will then spread out to US. 😢https://twitter.com/BrookeGMcDonald/status/1238986272137502720 …

This is the scene at O’Hare airport. The traveler who took the photo said it’s a 6-hour wait for bags then on to customs for 2-4 more of waiting in shoulder-to-shoulder crowds. Police are handing out water and disinfectant wipes. @fly2ohare #ord #coronavirus #COVID19 pic.twitter.com/UTx9E0nj1s

I came into ORD today. Airport worker standing by the GE kiosks coughing without face protection. Then I had to place my hands to get my prints into the kiosk. I was traveling with sanitizer in my pocket and hit it right away. Did not see any around. What could go wrong?

This administration has no idea how to plan for success. They only know how to plan for failure. Partly this is because they don’t understand the working parts of government and partly because there is not a competent person among them.

Unreal. This is entirely predictable with only a tiny bit of undergrad queueing theory. Arrival and service rates. It is all part of the problem where a solution is proposed without any real thought on implementation. But, hey, it looked good for building an image of action.
