Oh wow, thank you! I had so many people tell me that they prepared and started social distancing in February because of the "it's ok to prepare" article! It may have done more good than anything I wrote, and all I tried was to try to break the prepper vibe around being ready.

Seems like only way we can go on and restart our lives without drastic containment is if testing is insanely high, free and easy and quarantines if you test positive are mandatory. Even then we're likely to have a second outbreak.

And perhaps we will get Herd immunity, and vaccines at some point in the future, and a better understanding of the disease. Right now we need strict containment measures and a social net.
