Across the board failure. Old elites never reckoned with what they wrought upon us. Silicon Valley has long been in over its head. Authoritarians worked to save their own day, even as their repression make things more fragile. All this in a time of relative abundance and options.

Sadly, challengers never managed to figure out a viable path either. First rule of winning in politics is unite your friends, divide your enemies. Understand the rules of the game, and play what it is—not some fantasy. Figure out tactical decision-making. None of that is here.

I'd ask if exchanging the tax cut with incompetence and corruption was worth it to the wealthy, though unfortunately the most vulnerable are going to suffer more.
