For the record, every public health professional an epidemiologist knows these points and a lot more. What Musk doesn’t know is that the gravity of the situation is there despite evolving CFR and R0 calculations (which are dynamic and based on systemic response anyway).

I think he's more calling out SV types that are crunching the numbers and using their experience with exponential growth to make their own projections. Those numbers are very scary, and I'm not sure what the appropriate weighting to give them is.

The more Musk is allowed to talk, the more he starts sounding like Trump when you read it out. Slightly more coherent, but definitely heading in that direction. I'm surprised he's not having dinner on camera with a dictator, too.
